The satellite uplink went down AGAIN at about 3 PM this afternoon during another major thunderstorm. The problem? A tripped ground fault current interrupt on the outlet that the power supply for the amplifier was plugged into.
Once I reset the GFCI I verified that our satellite carrier was back up and sent commands to the receivers to select our channels once again.
I REALLY wish I hadn’t uttered those deadly words “Yeah, I guess it has been quiet lately….” on Friday morning.
