My assistant and I moved the power supply for our satellite uplink amplifier down to the uplink rack in engineering this afternoon. It is now on emergency power. Fortunately, we found a spare cable run between engineering and the uplink dish. This cable run was able to handle the output from the power supply without a problem. Our uplink should now stay on the air in the event of a total power failure on campus.
