Happy new year!

2007 was a pretty productive year engineering wise.  I started with WPR in October of 2006.

Here are just a few highlights from the past year…

• Hired Engineering Technician for KUWR
• Installed HD and HD2 signals on KUWR along with new digital STL
• Completely re-built Production Room C
• Cleaned up equipment racks and wiring in Engineering
• Replaced entire WPR satellite distribution system
• Completed transition to Content Depot satellite delivery of national programming
• Installed HD2 signals in Casper and Jackson
• Installed new satellite uplink dish and amplifier
• Major repairs to Rock Springs transmitter and building
• Started the process of re-wiring all remote control systems
• Started installing additional monitoring equipment
• Installation of new generator at Laramie transmitter site
• Two new stations on the air in Laramie (KUWL, KUWY)
• Staffing changes in Engineering

Andrea and I have now been in Laramie for over a year and really like it here. We hope to be here for a very very long time.
