Over the past couple of days I had been receiving reports of extremely high temperatures at a site again…This time from Gillette…I decided to make the trip up to the site to check it out.

Arrived on site in UW88…

The problem was a failure in the package cooling unit. Specifically, the economizer had failed and the compressor was not kicking in. The economizer is supposed to bring in fresh outside air when the outside air is cool enough but in this case the unit was stuck in a condition that prevented any sort of cooling. This unit has failed before and will likely be replaced within the next year.
