We had received a complaint of some interference being caused by our Dubois transmitter.  It had gotten to the point where the FCC was involved so I decided to act quickly.  While there was no reason to believe our equipment was directly involved, I wanted to cooperate in any way possible.

Callie once again accompanies me on this trip…Nothing like a good guard dog!
(OK, she just LOOKS ferocious…)

Our satellite dish was not grounded…It is now!

Additional grounding was done at the base of the tower as well…

The Dubois translator equipment…Satellite receiver, audio delay, transmitter and uninterruptible power supply

A bandpass filter cavity is installed to prevent any possibility of other signals getting in or out of our transmitter.  There was no indication that this was actually occurring but it is a good precaution nonetheless.

A small magnetic mount antenna is used for general measurements of signals at the site…

Hey, Dad…I think I see the problem on your spectrum analyzer!  Let me fix it…*nudge*nudge*
(The scary part is that she actually DID help me point a satellite dish once!)
