As I mentioned in an earlier post, I’ve been in the process of having a new transmitter site built.  Site preparations are in progress but I wanted to have the building first shipped to Laramie before getting sent to the site.  This will allow me to pre-assemble and test everything in Laramie and save travel back and forth to the site.  Once the building arrives at the site it should be as simple as connecting power and antenna to get the site on the air.

Getting ready to lift the building off the flatbed…

Lifting the building off the flatbed…

Off the flatbed and up in the air!

Redundant 3 ton air handlers will provide more than enough cooling for the site during the warm summer months

Positioning the building in its temporary resting place while here in Laramie…

Setting down blocks so the building skids don’t freeze to the ground…

Looking good on the inside…Note the  factory installed wire ladders, grounding bar and cable bulkhead.  This will save considerable time when installing the building at the site.

Electrical distribution and “housekeeping” alarm junction box, all pre-installed.

Unloading an equipment rack.  In addition to this equipment rack which will house all ancillary equipment, the building will house a 7.5 kw transmitter.

Now that the rack is in the building, time to unwrap it and set it upright.

The equipment rack is set in place…All ancillary equipment has arrived and will be installed in this rack once the transmitter arrives.  Temporary power will be connected to the building so we can comfortably work (with heat) and test all systems before sending the building to the site.
