It’s a snowy day here in Laramie…I received a report from Newcastle that we were off the air. While I was there I decided to make preparations for a new remote control. This remote will allow more detailed diagnostics of issues at the site.
The view outside my front door…
My work truck is absolutely covered in snow but it’s time to hit the road…
No snow at the site, oddly enough. Looks like there has been some work being done by another tenant on the tower, possibly cellular. This may be related to the outage…
A cellular base antenna array on the ground…either going up or just taken down from the tower…
In the process of hanging or removing the cellular antennas apparently my satellite dish was knocked out of place. A quick “tweak” restored service.
While I was in the area I started the process of wiring up the new remote control.
Next step, connect the wires from the punch block to the remote control.
Wiring done, now to cross-connect the two halves of the punch block.
