As I continue the process of upgrading and re-wiring our sites, the Jackson transmitter site was next on the list.  It was well overdue for a pretty major wiring cleanup.

UW88 on Snow King…Probably one of the last times I will be able to access the site via truck.

Several pictures of the existing equipment rack…With open sides and no wire management or power distribution facilities whatsoever it got fairly cluttered in a hurry.  We’re going to fix that by installing a new rack.

One new equipment rack (right next to the new transmitter recently installed)

Once again, my laptop serves as a temporary audio source for the transmitter while I rewire the rack.

We have an audio switcher at this site to route audio from either our primary satellite receiver at the site or from a second satellite dish and receiver downtown.  Generally if one dish is snowed out the other is not.  This allows a little bit of redundancy in the audio feed.

The old equipment rack is almost completely empty now…

Punch blocks and high density power strips make for very neat wiring management.

All equipment has now been moved into the new equipment rack.  MUCH neater than before.
